BLSA is pleased to announce the appointment of the new Board of Directors, following the successful completion of the previous board’s three-year tenure.
We are enormously grateful for the outstanding leadership of our outgoing board chair, Ms Nonkululeko Nyembezi. Recognised as a formidable force both in South Africa and globally, Ms Nyembezi has steered us firmly and with composure through a period of challenges and opportunities in equal measure. Her incisive thinking and commitment to excellence have left an indelible mark on our organisation.
We thank BLSA’s outgoing board members, Dr Leila Fourie, former Group CEO: JSE; Mr Neal Froneman, former CEO: Sibanye Stillwater; Ms Shirley Mashaba, CEO, PWC South Africa, and Mr Lungisa Fuzile, Chief Executive: Africa Regions and Offshore for their time, guidance, and commitment over the past three years. As this Board concludes its term, it does so at a moment where the country is beginning to turn the corner — with a more stable, more predictable, and increasingly enabling trading environment. That is a significant achievement, and one to which this Board has materially contributed. Their invaluable contributions have played a pivotal role in shaping BLSA’s achievements and overall success during a period of great significance for the country.
As we move into this next phase, I am happy to confirm that BLSA and its members will continue to benefit from the wisdom and strategic guidance of those members of the previous board who have accepted re-election. I would also like to congratulate our new board members on their appointment. It is an honour and privilege to serve alongside such a distinguished group of individuals.
Please join me in welcoming BLSA’s new board, which will be led by Mr Adrian Gore, our new Chairman.
