Business Leadership South Africa CEO, Busisiwe Mavuso has re-iterated as the country is going through tough economic challenges, stability and policy certainty is needed to ensure that it achieves an accelerated economic growth.
The job sector is looking gloomy… It’s only the first month of the year, and already several companies have announced plans to shed jobs. This is despite pledges made at the jobs summit as part of President Cyril Ramaphosa’s drive to boost flagging economic growth.
Trade union federation Cosatu is meanwhile accusing business leaders of failing to fulfil their promises. It says it wants to discuss the issue with business and the President Ramaphosa.
