EVENT: Fighting Corruption – From impotence and frustration to agency and action

10/08/2023 | By Admin

Business has a responsibility to play a leading role in combating the corruption which threatens South Africa’s future.

Animated by this responsibility and in the spirit of active citizenship, the GIBS Centre for Business Ethics, in partnership with Business Leadership South Africa (BLSA), will publish an anti-corruption working guide for corporate executives, board members and managers.

This guide offers a rallying call to corporations, enabling them to improve their ethical fitness, and demonstrate their commitment to the country’s future.

Join us for the launch of the guide with a keynote address from Chief Justice Raymond Zondo and a panel discussion with eminent business leaders:

  • Busisiwe Mavuso, CEO of Business Leadership SA;
  • Martin Kingston, Executive Chair of Rothschild and Co, and Chair of Business for South Africa;
  • Neal Froneman, CEO of Sibanye-Stillwater, and Joint Business Lead of Joint Initiative on Crime and Corruption; and
  • Dion Shango, CEO of PwC Africa.

Date: 29 August 2023
