Business Leadership SA says small businesses need to be adequately empowered to create more jobs for the economy to grow.
The organization has launched BLSA Connect which is designed to achieve sustainable linkages and networking platform between corporate South Africa and black-owned suppliers.
It aims to integrate black-owned suppliers in the value chain of corporate South Africa including procurement, distribution, and sales.
Chief Operations Officer of BLSA, Busisiwe Mavuso says the economic that is envisioned in this country is only going to come from the continued growth and the emancipation of the SMMEs in particular the black small businesses.
“This continued growth of the SMMEs in our view will ultimately achieve inclusive socio-economic growth,” added Mavuso.
