Media statement: Big business mourns the loss of its former chairperson, Dr Jabu Mabuza
16 June 2021
It is with deep sadness and sorrow that Business Leadership South Africa (BLSA) learnt of the passing of its former Chairperson, Dr Jabu Mabuza. He passed away earlier this evening following complications due to Covid-19.
Dr Jabu Mabuza was a formidable leader, very well respected for his business acumen and independent leadership. It was under his leadership as Chairperson of BLSA, that big business took the firm decision to publicly denounce the state capture project and make a solid pledge towards ethical leadership; protecting our key institutions and working collaboratively with Government towards building a capable state.
We would like to take this opportunity to pass our sincere condolences to the Mabuza family and wish them strength during this difficult period
