Business Leadership South Africa (BLSA) has appointed Themba Maseko as Director of Communications with immediate effect. Mr Maseko is a seasoned communicator who has distinguished himself as a former Cabinet spokesperson and CEO of Government Communications Information Services (GCIS).
BLSA CEO Bonang Mohale said: “BLSA is delighted to have Themba Maseko’s wealth of experience to drive our media and stakeholder engagement strategy to make Business more relevant to the needs of South Africa. BLSA is very fortunate to have attracted an experienced professional of Maseko’s calibre to be part of the leadership team to help steer BLSA through this critical juncture in South Africa’s political and economic life.”
Commenting on his appointment, Themba Maseko said, “It’s an honour for me to join BLSA in showcase Business’ contribution to South Africa. My immediate priorities will be to make Business more accessible and to work with our social partners to tackle key issues such as transformation, unemployment and inequality facing South Africa.”
Maseko has held senior roles across government and private sector as founder and Director of Ricopart Investments, Director of Muvoni Investment, former Director General of Public Works and Superintendent General of Gauteng Department of Education.
