The biggest crises to come out of COVID-19 has been the effects of lockdown on our nation’s most vulnerable communities. Reduced earning opportunities and income, combined with food price increases, means that many essential food items have become unaffordable.
BLSA and its members have answered the call of communities and relief organizations in need – investing support where it is needed most.
Hundreds of thousands of food parcels and meals have been distributed to households, schools, shelters and support centres in need. And millions donated to food relief schemes.
Water challenges have also been addressed. We have members who have provided the infrastructure and refurbishment required to give access to communities in need.
We are proud to see our nation’s businesses go beyond the call of duty to ensure the basic necessities of our communities.
When our communities thrive – our nation thrives. And when our nation thrives, our economy grows.
